The visitor center and museum for Kauaʻi Coffee, whose estate covers about 3,100 acres and more than four million coffee trees on the island’s southwest side. It’s roughly 17 miles from Līhuʻe Airport on Highway 540.
Why we love it
Complimentary tastings of a long list of estate coffees, plus a look at a working coffee farm. It’s an easy, inexpensive stop on the drive west.
Current conditions: Reported open after Hurricane Lowell. Halewili Road (Route 540) was partly closed by downed utility poles until Sept. 30, 2026 and is now open (HDOT).
What to expect
Pull into the lot off Halewili Road and head for the tasting area, where you can sample many varieties all day; Kauaʻi Grown lists more than 30. The small museum covers the estate’s history, and short guided farm tours (listed at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.) head out into the orchard. Small-batch roasting demonstrations run Tuesday through Thursday at 9 a.m., and the fresh roast is for sale. Coffee drinks, ice cream and light food are sold on site.
