A Saturday-morning farmers’ market run by the Hawaiʻi Farm Bureau on the Kapiʻolani Community College campus on the slope of Diamond Head. It opened in 2003 and is often called Oʻahu’s oldest farmers’ market.
Why we love it
You can eat breakfast, taste fruit you’ve never seen and buy Hawaiʻi-grown coffee and honey, all before the Diamond Head heat sets in.
What to expect
Vendors fill KCC’s Parking Lot B with tents selling island produce, tropical fruit, flowers, honey, coffee and plenty of ready-to-eat food. Come hungry and graze: lobster rolls, Mexican street corn made with local corn, taro bread, açaí bowls and boba are all here. It gets crowded by 8:30 a.m., and the popular stalls sell out, so arrive near opening. Park in Lots C and E. Bring cash, since many vendors still don’t take cards. It’s easy to combine with a Diamond Head hike the same morning.
